Maybe I'm just too picky

Enlighten me.

1. What's the best book you've EVER read?
Why?

2. What's the best book you've read in the last five years?
Why?

3. What's the best book you've read in the past year?
Why?

1. Anne of Green Gables (or possibly Pride and Prejudice or maybe Count of Monte Cristo) because it made me want to be the character. No, wait, because I was the character. And still am.
2. Don't Let's Go to the Dogs Tonight by Alexandra Fuller because she writes amazing metaphors. She makes you laugh out loud, and then you realize she really lived this harsh life.
3. Matrix of Meaning by craig detweiller and somebody (oops) - nonfiction book doing a theology of the marketplace; looking at culture and how God is reflected through the imago dei, and how Christians need to interact with a fallen and hurting people. Awesome book.

wonderful picture--NOT! ewwwwww!
1. The Last Battle by CS Lewis--it brought back old friends and gave me hope.
2. Premonition by Randy Inngermanson--the emotions were so raw--I want to be able to write like that.
3. Some book not yet pubbed by this guy who writes about special dogs--an amazing book and it had better get pubbed real soon because it is too good not to be read my the masses.

Abundant blessings,
Jenny Cary
