Wrapped Emotions

It ended as soon as it started for me.

Wrapped Emotions button

I found a great blog, a creative blog, with weekly exercises in creativity. Jen and I were excited about having a weekly outlet, an assignment, something to wrap ourselves in. So we started.

Then it was time for the girl who runs the site to step down. I think Jen and I may pick up where she left off and head in a bit of a different direction. Still focusing on creativity--but some other stuff. We're talking!

So, here was my first assignment--A Map of Your Heart. I didn't finish it completely, but I've been working on it. I loved doing this.

I think your heart looks a lot like mine. :)

I've met some kindred souls online (2 others) and I think you're the third. :)

Gorgeous pictures, beautiful heart. Fenced off with barbwire to keep the painful trespassers away . . .

Interesting. I would have said that the barbed wire was holding back the me that yearns to break out and be rebellious.

Yes, I could see that--the tears and tears when sin pierces the flesh.

No, I wasn't really thinking of the sin aspect. I was more thinking of the wild side God created in me that has to be restrained in order to not blatantly cause others to stumble.

Kind of like Jesus when Jesus broke free and turned over the money changers tables.

Does that make sense?

Yes. Unrestrained, we can do some damage without it necessarily having the "righteous" anger or direction true freedom exemplifies. That true freedom allows us the vision to see into the lives of others and value their weaknesses and inabilities to resist things they cannot control.
I wonder if that makes sense to anyone but me.
